Personality: Daichi is very kind and caring, as well as easy to get along with. Although at times, he can be quite timid around those who are a lot more outgoing then he is.

Background: Daichi grew up in the Rukongai, always being made fun of and being called a wuss. And so, he didn't have very many friends. But one day he realized that he needed to get stronger, and soon he enrolled into the academy, realizing that he could only do this if he became a Shinigami. He didn't graduate at the top of his class, and at first was assigned to the 3rd Division. But after a few years, he proved his worth after getting rid of a hoarde of Hollows, and saving some members of his squad. Of course, this didn't come without a price. During his battle, he had many injuries and was in the infirmary for a few weeks. The Head Captain though, saw potential in him and he was soon made the 1st Division Lieutenant of the 2nd Gotei.

Relationships:

Moriko: A good friend of his, whom he met while he was on a mission. The two are quite close, and Daichi has a bit of an admiration for her.

Saki: Another good friend of his whom he met while he was still in the 3rd Division. Unfortunately though, he is always the target of her pranks.

Lenaria: His captain, of which he isn't the closest to but still has her back no matter what.
