Kyza is a genetically altered human, the first prototype in the programme which culminated in the creation of Kiska and the only other successful experiment. Successful, that is, in that he survived birth. He was a great disappointment to his creators, the only difference between him and normal humans being his accelerated metabolism, giving him fast healing, speedy reflexes, an extremely agile mind... and an insatiable sex drive!
He was kept in the lab where he was created until the age of 9, where he was experimented on to find why he had survived the genetic alteration process and why he had failed to manifest the powers expected of him. He spent those years watching one woman after another being subjected to the scientists’ uncaring experimentations, most dying and those that didn’t being horribly marked, both physically and psychologically.
At 9 he was released, he thought because they had learnt all they could from him, although he later found that it was in fact because another foetus had reached its third trimester. He went to live with his biological parents, who had been scientists working for the programme. They had been paid off because his mothers extensive injuries had left her unable to walk again and his father had refused to work for them any more when they denied them access to their child.
Kyza took to the science his parents taught him with a natural ease which astounded them, quickly assimilating all that he was taught. He went on to further his knowledge, reading many books and theorising on diverse subjects. He also pursued different forms of martial arts and armed combat, revealing his preternatural reflexes.
4 years passed in this way, and at the age of 13 his parents began to realise he was more advanced in other ways than other children his age. He would frequently be away from home at nights, and wouldn’t explain his absence to his parents, although from the many callers he received they soon realised where he went. His increased sex drive meant that he would have sex with anything, although his good looks and pride lead him to be very shallow and whenever there was a choice he would choose those who were good looking. However, his early experiences in the lab lead him to have a deep and abiding distaste for rape.
At 15 Kyza left his parents house to work on an orbital research post looking into rare astronomical phenomenon and space borne pathogens. He was working there when the cell struck earth, and watched as its population, his parents and all the others he had ever held dear were turned into mindless animals. He swore vengeance on those who had caused this atrocity, and immediately signed up to the government programme to find a cure for this disease.
He worked on the station for some time, making great strides in understanding the pathogen that had struck at the Earths’ population, also pursuing a number of dalliances with others on the station. However, when he made a major breakthrough in a potential cure to the effects of the cell, the files mysteriously disappeared from his computer, taking with them irreplaceable data from specimens retrieved at great risk from the surface.
Upon investigating this Kyza found corruption everywhere! Fearing what they would do when they discovered his knowledge of them, he fled the station in an emergency escape pod and headed to Mars, where he hoped to appeal to governor Shun, who he had heard was a good man and a candidate for the presidency of the United Galactic Front.

In the 2 years since Kiskas death, Kyza has become hard. The madness that once gripped his tortured mind has subsided and he is again in absolute control of himself, although he now had a different aim. He now knew the truth about everything that had come to pass, from the beginning when the cell was first created and unleashed on earth to the end, when Governor Shun, Serge Ichigo, had died.
In the first year after the disaster in Judo, he had stayed on the Moon, spending his time talking with Khris as he repaired and upgraded her and, after she was repaired, he had gone about making his preparations, gathering materials from the industrial districts that covered the Moon. Discarding the small ship they had stolen, he had made a new ship of his own, a huge one with many capabilities that would serve him well as he took his revenge.
Upon returning to Mars in his new ship, Khris had disappeared, and Kyza had spent the last year waiting, and preparing.
It's taken long enough
