Personality: Rialedou, pronounced Reaaahladoo, is a man whose past experiences and acute wit caused him to become skeptical of religion at an early age, then at a later age caused in him a cynicism that would induce him to question humanity in its entirety. For Rialedou then, enveloped as he is with incredulity, being pulled in to a fantastical dream world against his will, having then to join a company of strangers in order to survive, is a hellish scenario to be caught up in. Although he is friendly, interesting and altogether charming, more than enough to get by, and able to play at being social with ease, he chooses not to be forthcoming in any new social environment, instead preferring to play the role of quiet observer and people-watcher. An acute judge of character, he will know after ten minutes to avoid 80% of the room, whether it be because they are intense fools, or because they are self-stabbing braggarts, the both of which in his opinion suffer from a lack of sagacity. Despite his position as a self-styled intellectual, undeniably good in essence, his moral compass has been bashed against the curb a few times in the process of him selfishly pursuing fun. Recreational drug abuse, too much sex, and a cutthroat policy towards friendships all culminate to take away the romantic lustre he seeks to preserve within himself. Educated yet biting, he is a two sided coin.
Weapons: His Assassin’s body in Wonderland comes equipped with a pair of Sais, one thin hollow pipe, ten darts with white feathers, and a range of poisons in both powdered and liquid form. Though he is currently unaware of any magical abilities, his new body in Wonderland is coursing with very powerful blood that, while watered down by his Human mother, still carries some of his Elven father’s aptitude for the Arcane. The previous tenant was not able to use magic generally, but made up for it because of his strange affinity with h2o in its solid, liquid and gaseous forms. Rialedou will only be able to glean a stitch of the arcane fabric that had been mastered by the prodigal villain that once held sway in this alien body he has come to usurp.
Story: Before Wonderland, Rialedou spent his last moments on the bed, paralyzed and moving little more than his eyeballs. It was a state he had provoked with the copious amounts of ketamine he had snorted – his usual night cap, but this time he had gone too far. He was not the sort of man to feel sorry for himself, for it was a foolish habit to entertain, but the idea had come over Rialedou that life was leaving him, that he had accidentally overdosed. Smatterings of fear, shame and regret haunted him, indifferent and remorseless, as death moved insidiously towards his heart. His computer screen, though he was not in a position to witness this himself, flashed, shimmered, then rippled as the Mediterranean might under an Egyptian wind. The iTunes playlist had diffused on this new exotic sea that had been stirred up, and replaced instead by a film of a handsome young man who had been pinned down and stabbed through the neck by a knave who looked suddenly out of the screen with dark eyes. Rialedou could smell the forest, it was bizarre, he could sense the fragrances that accompanied those hot summer evenings. Then he fell unconscious.
The fates intended Rialedou to take over the body of Marquis Dewatre, but when the Assassin killed the Marquis he consequently opened himself up to the possession. The Assassin, ever wilful and with a natural resistance to magicks that was inherited from his Elven father, still remains in his body as a conscious soul, but has been pinned down by Rialedou.
