Her story is a bittersweet one with tragedy assured. In a time, there lived a wild beast in the deepest parts of the mountains, covered by deep woods. This beast was a strange one, for as time grew, many forget his origins. On the outskirts of the woods there was a clearing, where a village lay. The elders of the village would tell, tales of this beast to their children and their children told theirs, and so on. Legends sprang up about this beast, of him being a monster created by their Gods as punishment for disobedience, or some monstrous creation of witchcraft, and other stories. Their were also rumors of this beast’s appearance, a disgusting creature, with such a revolting smell, and appearance, death would be finer punishment then being slowly ravaged by such a thing. Hoping that it would appease the beast, every blue moon they would sacrifice a young maiden( a blue moon was about 5 to 10 years in this time). Eventually the time came once more ,but all the maidens of the village had already been spoken for, except one. A young woman of 16 summers, while most women were already asked for their hand at 14,none had spoken for her, because of her defection. She was born a beautiful girl, especially her eyes a lovely milky purple, but without the ability to see, her looks were pointless. She had grown up as a doll in a glass case, for she could do nothing without sight. The villages eventually came to the reason that she had no other use then to sacrifice herself. Thus they cast her out into the woods, to be devoured to the beast. There she walked the rough crocked path that let deeper into the mountains. Eventually she made her way to a seemingly abandoned castle. The gates were roughly opened, and she walked into the castle, carefully guided by something, or force unknown to her at the time. Eventually she came to the room of the beast, he walked, as best a creature like that could, up to her, staring down straight at her. His expression enough to terrify the most brave of men, and she did nothing. Those milky eyes of hers seemed to him, be looking into something else far away. Most sacrifices had screamed ,fainted, cried, or attempted to run away when they came face to face with him but this girl did not. He spoke to her, his voice rough, and frighteningly strong, and she answered him her own voice, delicate yet distant. He allowed her to live in the condition that she stay with him ,and never return to her village. The girl who had no true emotional attachments to her village agreed surprisingly easy, which astounded him even more. She spent much time after that, in the castle learning it by touch and memory. She was even allowed outside into the garden and the neighboring woods. Eventually the beast learned of her problem, and began teaching her to utilize her other senses, such as hearing. Both had founded contentment, as they spent their days together the girl becoming more of a beast ,and the beast coming to love this maiden. Sadly this happiness could not last. The woods were becoming darker and more dangerous. This did not stop the maiden though and as she played in the woods, venturing farther and farther, she soon found herself caught by a pack of wolves. These wolves were strange though, as if more powerful, they lunged at her, what little souls they had consumed with blood lust. When the beast had discovered she was in danger, he pursed her, ignoring the warnings of one of his subjects, dark creatures assigned to him by blood oath. He ran though into the darker more dangerous parts of the woods, he found her just as the finishing blow was to be dealt. He took her place in this, having blocked her with his body. He began to fight the beasts, the sight a horrible thing, the smell putrid. The battle ended with the beast delivering the finally blow, but not without having received extreme pain himself. He layed there, without the strength to stand the mighty beast knew he was going die. as did the maiden, for she had only the strength left to live though the fight for the beast’s sake. She crawled to him, a trail of blood left behind. His follower had caught up to them in that moment, he himself fading, as his master’s last moments of life were disappearing. The beast sensing his follower approach, demanded he save the maiden’s life, and to give his sight to her. While the follower would have preferred to save his own master, so he could live longer, had no choice but to obey. As long as his master was alive he had to obey.
Unfortunately though her current body wouldn’t make it so the only way he could save her was to use some of his master’s body ,and dark magic that only his species of creature could conjure. In doing this ,she was in a sense reborn. She had the beasts eyes now, in addition to allowing her to see also allowed her to her eyesight superior to an average person’s, allowing her to see from distances, and in the darkening day. Her senses where much more keener now as well, having the beast’s blood running through her alongside her own. Her physical form had gone to a child’s and her memories of that long forgotten tale, were put in the back of her mind, being to young to handle it at the time. Soon she found herself in the dark queen’s fortress, where a high up minion of the queen noticed this girl’s beast like eyes and spoke to the queen. Since then she had been raised to be an assassin working for the queen. She is generally the one the queen can rely on to complete a quest, but she has independent thoughts, and is difficult to control, which can be dangerous when you serve the queen. As of late she has been away from the Queen, but whether she has cut her ties from the queen yet is unknown.
yeah might rewrite a diff ver of her past,still workin on it but I wanted opinions,
