Also, i realized that my ear canal is, indeed, swollen, which accounts for the hearing loss, and the pain is almost completely gone, save for several jolts every now and then.

And hmmm... maybe if you took some anti-biotics it would help with the swelling. Of course, those can only be perscribed by a doctor...

Anti-biotics are way over-prescribed, they should only be given when there is confirmation of an infection rather than giving them and seeing if it helps. Try an NSAID, like Ibuprofen, which should clear up your ear canal, and maybe put some cotton wool in it while in this cave which will probably be damp.

It's usually a pretty dry place, actually, but I will put cotton in it, if I can find any.

Also, the Tramadol I've been taking have helped. I'm sure Ibuprofen would help, too. I need to have some picked up when we go out to get groceries tomorrow...

I know this chick IRL that's like practically addicted to ibuprophen. She would always take some before a soccer game...

That's stupid, taking too much too often makes you prone to internal bleeding and muscle degradation.

That's why I'm hesitant to take any medication.

I kist can't hear anything out of my right ear. Which I'm okay with. I'm gonna get some Ibuprofen today, and that should help.
