It's a Dead World!

Somewhere in the US:

'NEWS FLASH! REPORTS OF ZOMBIES ATTACKING ARE NOW CONFIRMED! WE BRING YOU LIVE TO THE SITUATION.'

'Kim Smith here, live! I am here report on site, the attack of zombies! As you can see-' but the news report was cut off, and the only sound that could be heard were the screams of people, as their lives were being cut short...

Military Base - Control Room:

"How are things looking, Meyrin?" the captain asked, peering over her shoulder at the monitor.

"No sign of activity, sir. Things are in the clear." Meyrin replied.

"Good, let's keep it that way." the captain said. He then walked off and out of the control to take care of some things. Once he was gone, Meyrin breathed a sigh of relief. She was glad he wasn't watching her anymore, and she could relax it bit.

Lounge Area:

"Man, things have been so boring lately." Shinn stated, before taking a drink of some milk.

"Well that should be a good thing, shouldn't it?" Lunamaria said, taking a seat next to him. "And besides, you shouldn't be so eagar to rush into things." she added, looking over at him.

"I know..." Shinn sighed.

Train and Saya:

The sound of gunfire could be heard, before another zombie fell to the ground.

"Man, these guys just don't give up!" Train exclaimed, continuing to fire.

"You got that right!" Saya shouted back, firing as well.

Lizabeth and Dr. Stein-Laboratory:

A news report was playing on the television, the headlines reading the Undead Epidemic. It showed the chaotic streets where people ran screaming away from the undead. The screen suddenly went blank, being turned off by somebody.
"Dr. Stein-" a tired voice began to say.
A knife was thrown at Lizabeth, hitting its target. Blood spurted forth before a dull thud was heard. Lizabeth turned around seeing the moving corpse of some poor soul. She wiped the blood away from her face before turning back to Dr. Stein.
"Make sure you close the door, I don't want anymore coming in," Dr. Stein said walking past Lizabeth.
He reached down and grabbed the knife from the corpse's head. It made a disgusting sound as he took the blade out. The creature still continued to convulse for a few seconds before going limp.
"What a marvelous specimen we have here," he said with a mad smile.
Lizabeth stood to the side with a tired expression on her face before leaving to close the lab down.

Izanami-City:

Screams and gunshots could be heard everywhere. People ran through the streets trying to get away from the undead. The police and military did what they could to kill the monsters but they just kept coming. They were soon overrun by the monsters and were forced to retreat but were attacked and consumed by the zombies. Izanami watched from behind a building a large rifle in her posession. She quickly turned around and ran into the building and headed to the rooftop. Up there she would get a good vantage point to see how far the infection had spread.

Nissa: New York City

Back in the hotel room she had rented. Nissa had the television on with the news going. Listening to the news, she looked to the screen when the report was cut off and screaming could be heard in the background. Nissa cat-like eyes narrowed and the shot toward the window hearing sirens and tires squeal to a halt in front of the building...

{FLASHBACK}

Nissa ran through the streets of the city back to one of the many hotels that were in the city. She rushed through the doors and ended up in the lobby. People inside reeked of fear and turned to look at her and then began to back away before running off, since her hood fell back off her head. But the men looked at her with lust and fear. Forgoing the elevator, Nissa took to the stairs. Sensing no one was around she used one of her unique abilities called 'Haste' and sped up the stairs coming to her floor, which is located six floors up, in a matter of a couple of minutes.

Once on her floor she briskly walked down the hall, pulling her hood back up, and noticed several people standing around and peeking out their doors...and one looking pretty sickly.

'That one...' she thought and her golden eyes widen as it dawn on her, 'He's infected...'

Taking action she ran up to the sickly person and grabbed his head and twisted snapping his neck. A woman screamed and chaos erupted. A group of men went to attack to at least pin her while she heard someone calling the cops...

A dark smile played at her lips, as something inside her snapped...

{END FLASHBACK}

Not having much to pack, a majority of her weapons where already strapped on: Her blades and two guns secured in holsters on her thighs and she had very little clothes which she left alone. Moving to the door she glanced out the opened door and saw the hall was painted in red with pieces of body parts strewn about and claws marks on the walls. Nissa closed her eyes and gripped the door jam and small bits and pieces flashed across her minds eyes during one of her episodes. With a growl she turned away from the gruesome scene and jumped out the window, just as the elevator dinged signaling it had reached 6th floor with its bullet proof armor occupants, landing on a balcony below her and then continued her way down until she was in alley and left the area.

Military Base - Control Room:

"Why don't you get some rest, Meyrin? I'll take care of things." one of the male soldier's said, turning his head to look at her.

"Really? Oh thank you, I owe you!" Meyrin said happily, before getting up from her seat and running out of the control room. She then made her way down the hall and towards the lounge to see if Shinn and Lunamaria were there.

Train and Saya:

"Saya, let's get out of here!" Train exclaimed, after firing one last shot.

"Right!" Saya exclaimed, running after Train.

Lizabeth and Dr. Stein-Laboratory:

Out in the lobby blood streaked the floors and walls. There was a trail of blood that led to the front desk. Lizabeth approached it and saw that there was a lot of blood. As she neared sounds of flesh being ripped and consumed were heard. She peered over the desk and saw a gruesome scene. Their secretary was being consumed by two hideous creatures that were once human. Lizabeth's face remained emotionless as she backed away from the scene. Dr. Stein wasn't going to be happy since they had gotten in. She turned around and was about to head back when she heard a low gargling sound. Lizabeth glanced over her shoulder and saw that the two zombies were done eating their first victim and were now stalking towards herself. She looked around for a weapon and saw an ax encased in glass. She quickly ran for it and smashed the glass grabbing the ax just as the zombies lunged at her. Lizabeth turned and swung the ax lodging it in the skull of the first zombie. She quickly pulled it out and swung it at the next one but missed its head and instead hit its shoulder. Lizabeth let go of the ax leaving it in the zombie's body. Lizabeth turned around and made a run for it.
Meanwhile, Dr. Stein had moved the zombie corpse onto the examiner's table. He had on some white gloves and a scalpel in his hand. He placed the blade of the scalpel on the chest and cut into the body. He soon had it opened and was dissecting the corpse. Suddenly, the sound of door being slammed was heard. Dr. Stein glanced up and saw Lizabeth walk in covered in blood.
"Dr. Stein, a lot of them got in," Lizabeth said as she walked in.
"Tch, guess I won't be able to finish," Dr. Stein said taking his bloodied gloves off.
Outside the door the living undead clawed at the door trying to get inside. The door wasn't going to last long and soon the sound of glass breaking was heard. Dr. Stein let out a sigh and grabbed a few scalpels and the butcher knife. Lizabeth just stood to the side watching him.
"Let's go," Dr. Stein said walking to the other side of the room.
Lizabeth followed as they headed to another exit. Lizabeth headed out first and the doctor followed behind just as the other door was broken down.

Izanami-City:

Izanami walked into the recently abandoned building and scanned the area. There were no signs of zombies here yet so it should be relatively safe. Izanami headed towards the elevator and checked to see if it still worked. She pressed the button and the elevator door opened. The power was still running which was a good sign. Izanami stepped into the elevator leaning her gun against the wall then pressed the button leading to the roof. The doors closed and the elevator began moving up. She soon reached the top floor and stepped out of the elevator. It was a penthouse of some sort. It was probably a good idea to get some supplies here. Izanami walked into what appeared to be a bedroom and began to go through the closet. She found a black backpack with a little keychain on it. She took it and then headed to the kitchen. Right away, she headed towards the knives displayed on the counter. She took them all and placed it in one of the pockets of the bag then moved on to the pantry. There were only a few canned goods and dry packaged food. The rest wouldn't last long. After that, she picked up her gun and headed to the roof. Outside, the wind blew rustling her hair and clothes. Izanami placed the bag down next to the door and headed to the edge of the roof and looked out at the city. The city was in a mass of total chaos; fires were lit everywhere and there were mobs of people running and the undead chasing after them. It was not looking too good at all.

Military Base:

Meyrin soon reached the lounge area and stepped inside to find the two people she had been looking for.

"Sis!" she called happily, walking towards Lunamaria and Shinn. The two turned around and smiled to find Meyrin there.

"Hi there, Meyrin." Lunamaria said, smiling at her younger sister.

Train and Saya:

Train and Saya ran down the street until they were stopped by more zombies.

"Damn!" Train shouted, pulling out his gun once more and firing, while Saya did the same.

Lizabeth and Dr. Stein-Streets:

Lizabeth and Stein stepped out from the doorway into an alleyway. Lizabeth stood their silently as she watched Stein pace around. There was still some blood on him from his dissection of the corpse. A low moaning sound could be heard close by. Stein did not seem to hear it when zombies limped around the corner.
"Doctor there," Lizabeth stated pointing at the zombies.
"Hm?" Stein replied turning around. "These things are just crawling all over the place," he continued with a sigh.
Stein reached into his pocket taking out the scalpels, then threw it at the zombies with a flick of his wrist. The scalpels hit their target, the zombies stopped but they weren't completely dead.
"Tch," Stein muttered turning around and running.
Lizabeth quickly followed. They down the alley in the opposite direction when they heard gunshots. Once out in the open street Stein noticed two people who were still human. It was a man and woman and they seemed to be holding up well against the zombies.

Nissa: Somewhere in a city- Streets:

Nissa had wondered into another city that she didn't know. As she walked down the somewhat deserted streets Zombies lurked around every corner. Nissa wondered if there were any survivors, she scoffed at the idea before coming to a stop as she heard gunfire off in the distance.

"Couldn't be...Survivors?" she muttered to herself and used "Haste" to travel quickly in the direction of said gunfire.

Izanami-City:

After a while, Izanami left the rooftop and went back down to the streets. As she walked outside there were no zombies to be seen. She stopped on the sidewalk and looked down the street both directions. She narrowed her eyes when she suddenly whipped around and shot at something. The corpse of a dog fell to the ground before Izanami. She looked at it in disgust before running off with her gun in rifle in hand. She continued to run when she suddenly slipped to the side of a building. Izanami peered around the corner to see a figure off in the distance. It was a woman in black and her movements didn't indicate that she was infected. Izanami decided to just watch what she would do when suddenly she ran off with inhuman speed. Izanami ran out towards where the woman was but she was already gone, but she could hear gunshots in the distance. Maybe not everyone was infected after all...

Ooc: -Palms face- Man, I forgot all about Yzak...

Military Base - Yzak's Office:

Yzak sighed as she took a seat in his desk before switching on the monitor, and turned it to the news. As he sat there watching it, his expression went from bored to horrified. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. The living dead had reached and infected an entire city. This was not good. Quickly standing up from his seat, he ran out of his office and made his was back to the control room.

Lounge Area:

"I see, so things are in the clear?" Lunamaria asked, handing Meyrin a can of iced coffee before taking a seat beside her.

Meyrin nodded, "Yup. There's nothing to worry about, for now anyway."

"Huh." Shinn said thoughtfully.

Train and Saya:

Train and Saya had finally gotten rid of the last zombie of the group when they felt another presence nearby. Whipping around, Train fired a shot at where he had felt it.

Lizabeth and Dr. Stein-Streets:

Suddenly, the man fired at the two of them. Stein swiftly dodged the bullet which flew past Lizabeth. She just stood there blankly unfazed by the attack.
"Is that how you greet people?" Stein muttered straightening himself up.

Nissa- Streets:

Nissa appeared nearby the group and looked out from under at them as her coat settled around her body.


'They don't appear to be infected...' she thought.

Her gaze traveled to what looked to be a scientist, hence the lab coat that he wore and tensed. She hoped that she wouldn't have to deal with the likes of him, but from the way the situation was Nissa seemed to have no choice.

Caroline:

Caroline's blade,struck though the zombie,slicing him in half.She didn't have time to pay attention to him,as she soon found her blade through another as well.She took a quick breath,her current problem of road block,was clearing for the moment.She took her chance and ran once more,before another mob would crowd around her.She wasn't sure where she was heading,hadn't she heard gunshots somewhere? The point being she didn't need to waste energy excessivly,something told her she'd need a lot more in the near future.

Train and Saya:

"Ah-" Train began but was smacked upside the head by Saya before he could say anymore. "Ow!" he shouted, rubbing the back of his head.

"Train, you should look before you shoot!" Saya exclaimed, sounding like his mother.

"Sorry, force of habit..." Train said, a sweat drop appearing on his forehead. Saya just sighed, before turning to look at the scientist and his assistant as well as the new comer (Nissa), smiling.

"Sorry about that. My name is Saya, and this is Train. It's a pleasure to meet you." she said.

Military Base:

Yzak burst into the control room just in time to see all the screens flashing.

"Sir! We've picked up movement!" one of the soldiers said, his voice frantic.

"Get it up on screen, now!" Yzak commanded, swinging his arm to the side in exaggeration.

"Yes sir! Bringing the image up, now!" another said, just as it was brought up. On the screen, a line of zombies could be seen and they were headed straight for them.

Yzak's eyes widened in horror, before he regained his composure. "Sound the alarm!" he shouted.

"Yes sir!" a soldier said, pushing the button. Soon the loud sound of the alarm could be heard, and Meyrin and the others instantly stood up.

"Oh no, I have to get back!" Meyrin exclaimed franticly. Then with a quick goodbye to Shinn and Lunamaria, she ran out of the room and back to the control room. As soon as she stepped inside, Yzak whipped around.

"Where have you been?!" Yzak shouted angrily.

"S-Sorry sir!" Meyrin replied, quickly taking her seat and putting her headset on.

"Gah, never mind that. I'll deal with you later, just make announcement saying we're switching to Condition Red and that this is not a drill!" Yzak said, turning his attention back to the monitor.

"Yes sir!" Meyrin said, brining her hand up and putting if over her headset. 'Attention, switching to condition red, switching to condition red! This is not a drill, I repeat this is not a drill. All military personel to their assigned battle stations, all military personel to their battle stations.' And as soon as Shinn and Lunamaria heard this, they quickly looked at each other before heading to their battle stations.

Lizabeth and Dr. Stein-Streets:

"Well I am Dr. Stein and this is my assistant Lizabeth," Stein said introducing themselves.
The man and woman seemed awfully young but appeared to be trained to deal with guns. Stein turned when he heard another person approach. It was a woman dressed in all black and had long black hair. Her skin was very pale similar to Lizabeth's. She seemed to be wary of him.
"Dr. Stein," came Lizabeth's tired voice.
Lizabeth pointed to the north where more zombies were coming.
"Looks like we'll have to continue this later," the doctor said with a mad grin.

Izanami-Streets:

Izanami continued to run but was unable to determine where that woman went. She was just too fast and the gunshots had stopped. The survivors must've been killed already. She sighed when she heard that all too familiar moan. Izanami reached back into her pack and threw a knife at the head of a zombified child. It only stumble a little but continued towards her. She grimaced as she pointed her gun at it's head. She then pulled the trigger blowing it's head completely off. The body fell to the ground before her and she just looked at it.
"Poor kid," she murmured before turning around.

Military Base - Control Room:

"Get Danut on the line!" Yzak shouted, still keeping an eye on the monitor.

"Sir, I'm speaking to him right now." Meyrin replied, before turning his attention to Danut. "Danut, there's a whole hoard of zombies headed straight for the base!" she told him.

"Tell him to meet up with Shinn and Lunamaria, and after that, wait for further instructions!" Yzak commanded, before turning to face another solider, "And you, tell the same to them as well."

"Yes sir!" Meyrin and the other soldier said.

"Danut, the Captain wants you to meet up with Shinn and Lunamaria and wait for further instructions." Meyrin said.

"Shinn, Lunmaria, the Captain needs you to meet up with Lieutenant Lüceanu and then wait for further instructions." the other soldier said.

"Good, now everyone, prepare for combat!" Yzak exclaimed.

"Yes sir!" everyone shouted.

Shinn and Lunamaria:

'Shinn, Lunmaria, the Captain needs you to meet up with Lieutenant Lüceanu and then wait for further instructions.' was what Shinn and Lunamaria heard as they made their way to their battle stations.

"We'd better hurry then!" Shinn exclaimed, looking over at Lunamaria.

"Yeah!" Lunamaria called back, nodding once.

Train and Saya:

"Great, just what we need!" Train exclaimed, running past Stein and Lizabeth.

"Train, wait!" Saya called, running after him.

Nissa - Streets:

Nissa looked at the others, then watched as a young man run off.

"Foolish Child." She stated before casually walking toward the horde of shambling zombies.

Lizabeth and Dr. Stein-Streets:

Dr. Stein walked towards the zombies scalpels apearing from his sleeves into his hands. He had a wild look in his eyes, he smiled as he stalked towards the zombies. Lizabeth sighed and looked around for an appropriate weapon. She noticed a firetruck nearby and saw an axe. She went over to it and took the axe and followed after Stein.

Izanami-Streets:

Izanami left the main street and headed towards the outskirst of town. She adjusted her pack on her back and slung her gun over her shoulder. The city was completely devoid of living humans now, only leaving the undead running around. Japan had already been infected and she had come here hoping to find safety, but it was much worse here.
"Ah what to do now," she said looking up at the bright sky.

Train and Saya:
Train lunged at the zombies as he fired his gun, while Saya did the same. Would this ever end?

Caroline contuied,hearing the gun shots getting nearer.Caroline saw a another mob,in the distance,and people? It appeared to be a guy,and this girl. She had a split second thought,about just leaving,and contuing on her own,but she rejected it.In this now apocoloptic world,what humans were left needed to stick together;they were all they had now.She had been trained,well by her grandfather,some of the stuff he but her through,would be called child abuse.She could make it.She ran towards them,swinging her sword,a sharp concentrated look in her eye.She sliced into Zombie after zombie,confident and strong with each swing.She wondered if she'd have to use her arrows,soon.While a gun would probably easier in this situation,she still had confidence in her bow n arrow and her archery skill.

Lizabeth and Dr. Stein-Streets:

Dr. Stein slashed the zombies with the scalpels, but they were quite effective despite their size. He stabbed the scalpel in the back of the neck and severed the spinal chord. He smiled hysterically as he attacked one after another. Lizabeth was right behind Stein, hacking at the zombies with her axe. She was quite fast despite her tired appearance. They were soon covered in the blood of the undead. Soon they all killed the zombies leaving the corpses behind.

Train and Saya:

Saya sighed with relief as the last zombie fell to the ground. She then turned to face Train, to find that he had a serious expression on his face.

"Train, what's wrong?" she asked, tilting her head to the side a little in confusion.

"Wha-? Oh, uh, nothing. Sorry." Train replied, smiling a little at Saya. He then turned to face yet another new comer (Caroline). "Thanks for helping us."

Military Base:

Danut heard Meyrin reply over the headset, "Zombies are at the base....." He muttered under his voice. "I'm heading that way!" with those words he hurried off towards his station. After a few minutes he arrived and tried to contact Shinn and Luna, "Are you two close?" He waited patiently for a reply before changing to Meyrin, "Tell Yzak I'm at my post."
