I'm guessing those are baboon by their tails (not sure cuz I cant quite see their faces - at first i thought they were japanese macaque)
Teehee... You know, for having studied primatology, Baboons (aw well most primate species) can be QUITE agressive.... espacially during mating season.... and when picked on by fellow playmates. They define hierarchy that way. >_> *looks at Matt*

Did you know Japanese macaques are also the only primate were we find a sort of homosexuality, only between females. Females tend to masturbate themselves during mating season to ease the tension off...

She was just sniffing around there, but later on the mum dunked the baby in the water trough for attacking her tail, that was a good laugh.

You know, now that I think of it you two are more like bonobo's...

well it would make sense since the Bonobos are thought to be on the link of our closet relative in evolution

actually, you can see gromming as licking ass. depending on the primate species, grooming is highly benificial, espacially for hierarchy.

Let's say there are alpha females rank A B C D (A being highest) Then if for example D grooms B, and then C beats the crap out of D, then because of the grooming B might come into D's defence instead of C's, despite the hierarchy at hand.

Some males also groom females, and give hunting/fruits to some females for future sexual benefits aswell during mating season.
