Delta Server - Fields and Dungeons

Eila simply stood watching "careful now kids...they tend to be......vile litte devils"

Doing a quick backward roll to take him out of harms way, upon coming to his feet Dell unleashed a lightning strike for 70 damage.

Lita gave Mochi a smile of grattutude and prepared her bow. She shot straight at it,for 65 damage.

Zero threw a fireball at the monster, causing 25 damage.

Occ: That ok? ^^;;

Penance fell backwards from the strike and then jumped up "oh that was bull>.<" he said and readied the one skill he had double strike (chance of two hits) penance thrust his sword then slashed at the Valkyrie dealing 30 then 25 damage

"come on ginchiyo double attack" vixen said

they dealt 87 damage

"not bad" she said

"not bad" Eila remarked while watching the fight proceed. she was now kicked back on a stump she remembered being there watching the rest of the party fight the valkyrie

Keeping back, Dell looked at where Eila lounged. "You had better not be getting any of our exp from this..."

He threw an ice spell at the monster, stabbing an icicle into it's chest for 87 damage.

"Well, that's my MP gone." He readied his staff to give the moster a whack.

Eila smiled "nope ive been grinding honour in the battle grounds so i have my xp guage turned off"

"Why don't you try and help?" Zero asked, firing a Blizzard spell at the monster causing 54 damage.

Mochi smiled at the group, a noble collection of new players, all doing their best to win, and nodded in Eila's direction.

"Eila! I've learned a new spell since you were gone! It's a level 8 Holy Evocation type!" She exclaimed with much pride as she readied her spell. "Watch this!" She made sure Eila was watching as she took a breath and waved her staff around in a full circle around her body. "Be free and find peace in her loving arms!" Mochi screamed at the valkyrie, slamming the end of her staff against the ground. A glyph shone from beneath the creature, and it was dissolved into light as the number 1460 appeared in red above the creature's head.

"Valkyrie defeated. Conflict resolved." The voice rang out over the field. "All members recieve 350 XP." The voice then added, "Characters Zero, Penance, Yoru, Vixen, Dell proceed to level 2. Pet Ginchiyo proceed to level 2. Dell has acquired Spell: Summon Poe. Vixen acquired Skill: Charm. "

What the fuck is a Poe? Dell asked, putting his staff away.

"A Poe is a spirit that has been trapped in some sort of vessel!" Mochi explained, thinking about it for a moment. "When you first cast the spell, you can choose the vessel. It determies the Poe's element. A lantern will result in a Flame Poe, a canteen will result in a Frost Poe, and there are several others, though it's such a low level spell, most players can only choose between the first two." She began digging through her pack, and grabbed several items.

"Luckily, I was prepared, and brought along some various items. A Bottled Lightning, Clay Doll, Vial of Blood, Skull, and a Quiver..." She smiled at Dell, and waved over the items. "Take which ever you want!"

eila watched bemusedly "hmm.....congratulations mochi on learning such a spell and congratulations to you all for reaching level 2" then she stood and strolled over to another gate activating it. she watched as a chest appeared "here you all go"

vixen rubbed ginchiyo's head

"we did it girl...now to next thing"

Penances eyes gleamed as he pounced on the chest opening it and several items flew out towards everyone "ooooooo a new helmet :D" he stated grabbing the lvl 3 helmet

"I think I'll take... The vial of blood." Dell took it and began incanting the Summon Poe spell, focusing it on the vessel.

(ooc: dj you won't find a level 3 item in a level 10 area lol...a lvl 13 item maybe but not a level 3)

(OOC: tisnt it a lowbie lvl with a chance of a highbie fight therefor the lvl item should vary>_>)

(ooc: the item drop basis i was using was wow's so not really)

(OOC:wows for losers>_> i used systems like SMT or Flyff or grand fantasia)

Mochi warched as Dell grabbed the vial and began chanting the incantation to summon and bind Poe souls.

"With this, you'll most likely get a Blood Poe. They can heal their master, and inflict status ailments on enemies." She laughed nervously before adding an after thought. "But, it could become a Mad Poe... All they do is inflict Frenzy on allies and enemies, and attack with weapons from your pack, so be careful!"

As Dell finished the incanntation the energy focused on the vial and it changed.

"Well, I hope it is something useful, although I was hoping for something better than that. I should have gone for the skull..."

"So its over?" Zero asked.

"well, that battle is, but once we get into the dungeon we'll really be in for a challenge!" Mochi smiled at Zero, pointing in the direction of a large head head that stuck up from out of the ground, it's mouth wide open, and eye sockets empty. "That's the dungeon!" She giggled a bit, then turned to Dell. "In truth, any bound soul you summon has a chance of becoming a Mad Soul, but the likelihood differs with the vessel you choose." She heldup the skull to prove her point. "If you had successfully bound a soul to this, it would have been a Death Poe, capable of dealing incredible amounts of damage. However, because that Poe is so much more powerful than the others, the likelihood of it becoming mad is 75%, whereas the likelihood of a Blood Poe becoming mad is only 25%."
